We are experts in multi-branch operations and have designed our products to be easily deployable and above all very fast and cost effective. Our network division will be happy to give you an implementation schedule and explain just how you can start benefiting from information sharing today. We will handle the whole installation ourselves with no hardware software conflicts.

Virtual Private Networks
We can create a VPN which operates very much like an ASP solution for a fraction of the cost of a full ASP. In this module the Server would reside in your head office and the inter-branch link would be facilitated by ADSL Lines and a connection control box in each office. This looks a bit like a Satellite decoder and as well as providing the secure access to the web and a full virus guard, it will also handle the management of your inter-office e-mail and controls who has what access and when to the web. The VPN system also allows all software to be shared without any specific web design. Although this system does not offer the service level agreements of an ASP, it is as reliable as your telephone system and so much more cost effective, so for a medium sized operation it must be the network option of choice.
Thin Client Computing (RDP)
The thin-client computing model is based on having applications installed on a central server (terminal server). These applications are then served to one or more client devices using RDP. The client device(s) are generally considered dumb, as all the processing occurs on the terminal server.
| Here are some of the Thin Client benefits: |
User Experience - The users can work in an identical manner regardless of their location; in the office, at a remote site, mobile or from home.
WAN, Remote and/or Wireless Access - The thin client protocols, ICA and RDP, were designed for low network bandwidth environments. This means applications run quickly over a WAN, remote or wireless access, even with heavy file/database activity.
Security - All thin client data and applications are stored on central servers, allowing centralised security and centralised protection against data loss or corruption. With the lack of CD-ROM and floppy drives a thin client environment is also more secure against viruses and users are less likely to introduce software conflicts or problems by installing software themselves.
Management and Administration - Maintaining and administrating applications on centrally maintained terminal servers is a far easier task than hundreds of spread out workstations. |
